Over the last few weeks, I have been constantly thinking of kimchi. This happens throughout the day as if the kimchi is calling out for me. I’ve always loved kimchi with ramen but I can eat it as it is. I have to say I have never had kimchi fried rice. We were out shopping last night and on the way back we decided to stop for some food. It was cold and windy, a perfect reason to have some hot soup and kimchi!
There were two Korean restaurants beside each other but we opted with Lazy Nabe as it has a wider variety of food as opposed to just Korean Fried Chicken. We were not disappointed! In fact our kimchi fried rice was to die for. Right amount of spice and the runny egg yolk brought the dish together. We also ordered a pot of ginseng chicken soup. It was light but punched with sweetness from the chicken. The chicken was so tender. We also ordered some edamame which was a total let down.
We will definitely be heading back to Lazy Nabe for more kimchi fried rice. In fact, I’m going to try my own kimchi rendition of kimchi fried rice. Stay tuned for that!
